Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation to facilitate yogic sleep or conscious sleep. It draws our attention inwards as we learn to navigate the states of wakefulness and sleep allowing the mind and body to release tensions and stress. Practiced primarily in savasana while the teacher guides you through different stages of consciousness with their voice and imagery.
Scientific studies have shown that the rest that comes from this form of meditation is deeper and different from that coming from just sleep. Health professionals all over the world have documented therapeutic benefits of Yoga Nidra. These include:
Yoga Nidra literally changes the fluctuations of the mind by slowing down brain wave frequencies. Biological sleep only refreshes the body-mind and cannot promote self-realization as Yoga Nidra can. Feelings of meditative expansiveness are objective biological facts that can be measured in DNA, neurotransmitters, brain waves and more. The physical body changes as the mind changes.
Yoga Nidra is now prescribed in many countries by doctors both as a preventative and a curative therapy in the first three stages of stress-related disease.
Deep changes take time and depend on a number of variables such as the regularity of practice, strength of your resolve and the depth of the issue you want to change.

Reha has been practicing yoga since her primary school years - over 15 years. She was introduced to it at her local Hindu temple by the resident monk. Everyday after school she would be there doing endless sun salutations as the sun set at the temple. Although it started off as just an after school activity and something to strengthen her bond with her community and religion, it has gone on to shape her life and informs the person she is today.
The opportunity to become a yoga teacher presented itself in 2020 at a studio she was attending and in 2021 she started teaching. She is trained in Nidra, Yin, Restorative, Vinyasa, Hatha, and Meditation & Pranayama.
reKKha yoga was started with the intention to bring to the world a practice rooted in tradition and experience, and watered by research.
