Yoga has been a part of Brooke's life for 24 years. Originally from the Gold Coast in Australia, Brooke has lived in Auckland for 18 years. She loves her little farmlet in the Waitakere's, and now calls NZ her home.
Brooke had a successful career in athletics and netball, until being overcome by injury a few years back. Discovering that yoga was the only activity that helped her with her chronic pain, it was inevitable that she felt indebted to the yoga world and brings this sense of gratitude to every class.
In 2018, Brooke was humbled by the beast that is known as Mt Everest. Succumbing to altitude sickness and hypothermia, she made the decision to finally follow her dreams. 3 months after her return to NZ, she dedicated her whole career to yoga, becoming a full time yoga teacher, and eventually the proud new owner of Yoga Collective (previously YogaTech).
Brooke brings a lighthearted spirit to each class. She truly believes she has the best "job" in the world!
Brooke teaches Fusion (Chakra Yoga ®), Flow, Meditation and Yin.

Wessel comes from South Africa, but is definitely an international soul. He loves to travel the world, explore different cultures and foods, and has learned a lot from the Italian culture that his wife Giulia comes from. He started doing yoga mainly as a physical practice due to constant pain in his neck, later exploring many different styles of yoga, from Iyengar, to Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative and Transformational Yoga. While he loves the physical aspects of the practice, he understands the value at a spiritual level, and how the two are intertwined.

Giulia was born in Italy, and when she was 6 years old her family moved to South Africa. She grew up incorporating both cultures in her life and eventually moved to New Zealand with her Husband Wessel, whom she met in South Africa. They have both always been interested in Yoga, meditation and spirituality.
Giulia’s yoga journey started with Pilates, and then moved on to yoga mainly for the physical benefits that it had on her spine, as she was struggling with scoliosis at the time. She and Wessel explored many yoga styles together, starting from Iyengar Yoga, moving on to Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative and Transformational Yoga.
Giulia has a very stressful day job as a graphic designer, and she found that yoga was the only thing that could really calm her mind and satisfy her soul. Her mission is to share yoga and meditation with others who also feel overwhelmed by their stressful lives, and open up the opportunities to a greater consciousness.
She has completed a 200hr TIME Meditation Teacher Training and a 200hr Integrated Yoga Teacher Training which combines Hatha, Meditation, Pranayama, and Mantra.
